Many people are told that they have bad planets in their horoscope and they will have to do this remedy or that remedy. But do they know that neither bad nor good planets give any result automatically? Should you always run to an astrologer to know the strength of planets in your horoscope? Or from some qualities and behaviour of a person, you can & should yourself know if the planet is good or bad. And then confront the astrologer as to what of your previous birth deeds got you such a planetary position and how can you use your free will to get the best results from these planets.
You see how do you get any specific planetary position in your birth chart is a result of your previous birth(s) deeds. But when you get such positions of planets, it is all the results of what you have done in the past life(s). But then these planets have both upper and lower energies. A negative planet like Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu if operating in their lower energy does not give extreme negative results for which these are known for. Same way, positive planets like Mercury & Jupiter also do not give the best results if operating at lower energy.
The initial impact of planets whether a planet is good or bad can be seen from some defined rules of Vedic astrology as below:
Whether the planet is Exalted or debilitated.
Planet is in its friendly or enemy sign.
What is the Vimsopaka Bala ( strength) of the planet?
What is the Vargottam Status of a planet?
If the planet is aspected by natural benefic or malefic planets.
Whether the planets are in 1st, 5th and 9th house ( good position) OR are in 6th, 8th, and 12th house ( bad position).
Planet is operating at its lower or upper energy.
These are all factors that only an able astrologer can judge if the planet is good or bad. But from some specific traits and behavioural characteristics of the native, one can easily find out whether the planet is good or bad in your birth chart. So it is always better to try to identify the weakness and strength of your behaviour and habits than worry about how to judge the strength of planets: says Dr. Vinay Bajrangi. Focus on Karmas more than getting into hemmed to know whether the planet is good or bad for you. Remember, negative planets can also give you positive results and strong planets may never fructify in your lifetime. Do not bury yourself into astrology rituals because astrologers have asked you to do so.
